News and Trail Conditions - Check out the pics of Sausage Roast on Image Gallery Current NewsThe Lancaster Snow Drifters 1st Annual Sausage Roast was a big success! We had about 60-70 sleds and would have easily doubled that if the trails were better. Many cars also stopped by which kept our parking lot full. Special thanks to Peter and Coleen Cafaro, members from Rhode Island, who made this event possible. We also want to thank all the businesses who helped sponsor this event, especially F. B. Spaulding Co. They also had a couple of Polaris Rush units on hand which was great. Special thanks to the Cabot Motor Inn, Dalton Mountain Motor Sports, Kilkenny Building Center, Marcello Sausage Co. (THE BEST SAUSAGE IN THE WORLD!), and Calisi Bro. Bakery. This event ROCKED and we can't wait to put it on again next year! Hopefully we can have better trail conditions. To everyone who came to the event, THANK YOU!

Next Snow Drifters Meeting: March 3rd at 7:00PM at the Clubhouse
WEATHER AND TRAIL CONDITIONS UPDATED ON: 3-8-10 CURRENT WEATHER Monday, March 8th and the club decided to officially close our trails. I would say the end came early this year, but we closed our trails only one week later last year. The problem this year is the complete lack of snow. We just didn't get any. Many thanks to all the landowners who allow us to use their land. Warm temps all week followed by rain this weekend will put a big dent in the snow base, even in the high country. What a way to end the year! Terrible. Until next season.
